Our Mission:
To create opportunities for employment and community involvement in Philadelphia for recent graduates of local colleges and universities and strengthen the city’s cultural, educational and social service agencies with talented, motivated employees.
About the Program:
Philly Fellows offers one-year, post-graduate fellowships to selected seniors at partnering colleges and universities in the region.
•Philly Fellows offers top grads the opportunity to choose between a diverse variety of positions with Philadelphia’s cultural, educational and social services agencies.
•Philly Fellows provides participants with housing, together with other fellows in one of Philadelphia’s vibrant communities, and helps facilitate the fellows' involvement in the community and the city by sponsoring their participation in events, activities, and service projects.
•Each Philly Fellow is a member of the
AmeriCorps*VISTA program and receives a living stipend and education award, health insurance, transportation, furnishings, and a variety of opportunities to experience Philadelphia's exciting culture.
•Along with their full-time positions, the fellows dedicate a portion of every week to participating in leadership and professional development training and help to engage more students and young people in the Philadelphia community.
